Winter Gifts Days 59-61

I forgot to take a photo when I was outside
on Saturday. Here is my heART therapy project
from that day. I delight in stringing beads and
enjoying all the shapes and colors. I haven't decided
what I'll do with them yet.

Sunday sunset on the stroll to supper

Sunshine on the water makes me happy.

Winter Gifts Days 55-58

A snowstorm was coming. I wanted to take my
walk during the storm. I waited all day. That night, I was
still waiting for the snow to fall.

The next day--snow caps

Waiting for spring planting

Sometimes mice burrow under the snow . . .

. . . and sometimes they scamper across the top.

Winter Gifts Days 52-54

I have been going outside every day but I haven't always remembered to take a photo while out there. Saturday was an oops-I-forgot-to-take-a-photo-during-daylight shot of my neighbor's yard light. Sunday was a standing-on-the-deck-at-my-sister's-new-house-on-an-incredibly-foggy-late-afternoon shot. Monday was an oops-I-forgot-to-take-an-outside-photo-so-I'll-substitute-a-felt-painting-of-an-outside-scene-that-I-am-working-on shot.

Winter Gifts Day 50

Walking on Water
Even though I have now lived in Minnesota longer than I lived in Florida, I am still afraid of walking on a frozen lake, even when the ice is thick enough to support trucks and cars. Today I challenged myself and walked half-way around the lake. It was frightening to me, but so beautiful! I think I'll do it again and again and again . . .

Minnesota welcomes you!

Minnesota sunset—
If I try really hard, I can imagine it is the beach.

Too cold and dark to wander far from the house

I went outside, but so cold I didn't go far—
welcome to the driveway.

The birds have flown the nest.

This frozen creek looks like a fish to me.
